Raised in Detroit, multidisciplinary artist Talese Michelle Harris began her artistic journey as a singer and actor. She appeared in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever as Iris and starred in the award winning indie film, A Complicated Cartoon. But her greatest passion is creating a vibrant world through the lens of an imaginative introvert from Detroit.
With a focus on marginalized Black eccentrics (particularly Black women), Talese is able to connect to an energy allowing her to identify and examine the strength and vulnerability in ordinary things, while emphasizing a sense of isolation.
Her works are deeply moving, introspective, and visually stunning. Talese is an up-and-coming African-American artist you don’t want to miss. To learn more about Talese can her many works, visit https://talesemichelle.com.
